Builders Thetford and Local Villages
Thetford is twelve miles up the A134 from our base in Bury St Edmunds, about twenty to twenty five minutes on a normal run, so we are on site the same morning as a job in town, not sending someone from three counties away who has never seen the road. The town has three different kinds of housing, and each needs a different approach. The old market core around the Castle mound has timber framed and older property, some of it with its own planning restrictions. The big post-war estates built when London families were overspilled out here are now at the age where kitchens, bathrooms, wiring and insulation all want doing at once. Newer edge-of-town development brings its own house extension and snagging work, and we cover the villages and forest edge properties around the town as well, from the Icknield Way out to Thetford Forest.
